Nike 1000 Woman's IWFL Game Football Team Signed Katie & Liz Sowers Kansas City

This is a Nike 1000 IWFL (Independent Women's Football League) game used football. It was signed by one of the teams; unfortunately there is very little information on the team's rosters of the IWFL. The football appears to have an early autograph of Katie Sowers and her twin sister, Liz Sowers. They played on a number of women's teams in the Kansas City area. Katie Sowers went on to be a coach on last years San Francisco 49ers, making her one of the first women to coach in the NFL.

She was also the first woman to coach in the Super Bowl and was the first openly gay coach in the NFL. The football is smaller than the one used in the NFL; it's a Junior size.
